However, downloading the software from a third-party site violates the Ventrilo license agreement. In addition, older versions of Ventrilo are unable to connect to Ventrilo servers hosted on our network because we operate the latest version of the Ventrilo server software which is not backwards compatible with older Ventrilo client software.
